Who am I?

Justin Gould is an AI and Data Engineering leader with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams to deliver transformational outcomes at scale. As a Technical Leader at Eli Lilly & Company, he architects and operationalizes AI-first solutions for clients across healthcare, energy, automotive, manufacturing, telecommunications, retail, and government, driving measurable value.

Justin brings deep technical fluency across data engineering, MLOps, NLP, CV, GenAI, and large-scale data architecture. He has led engineering teams to build production-grade OCR models, deploy real-time defect detection with CNNs, modernize data lakes and warehouses, and create generative AI agents for customer-facing experiences. He thrives at the intersection of engineering, strategy and execution, and client impact.

With experience across Fortune 100s, professional services firms, and public institutions, Justin excels in aligning diverse engineering talent toward a common vision, often mentoring the next generation of AI practitioners along the way. Whether working with C-level sponsors or hands-on with code, he brings clarity, creativity, and delivery excellence to every engagement.

Justin is an active thought leader at the intersection of AI and systems engineering. He has published work on topics ranging from energy-efficient computing to AI ethics, AI forensics, agentic AI, and the role of OCR in the US Defense posture.

Justin holds an MS in Business Analytics from Michigan State University’s Broad School of Management and earned a BA in English, with Honors, also from Michigan State University.
